Building  Celebrations of "JOY"

3-D, COLLAGE INSPIRED MINI FLOATS

All of our Artist-In-Residence programming connects visiting artists to real-world opportunities to participate in parades or processions, that for New Orleans are celebrations! This year, building a 3-D, Collage Inspired, Mini Float is crucial! That was a lot! The floats will appear during our walking parade for the April 2025 Earth Day Celebration. This year's parade features an entire section celebrating "joy" that honors children from various communities in New Orleans.Throughout the year, mini floats will be created from recycled materials, that will debut through art talks, but will be on the streets during the next years.

See below guidelines, application (online & PDF version) and email for financial assistance.
