About the event

The Recycle Challenge does it again! This six-week residency program invites participants to "TRASH IT!" by creating wearable art headpieces. Led by recycling artist and sustainability advocate Madera E. Rogers-Henry, this Zoom workshop emphasizes using recycled materials like cardboard, plastic, and fibers to craft unique hats, wigs, and headpieces.

Designed to engage artists, local youth, and businesses, the workshop reflects Rogers-Henry's commitment to community involvement. Participants can complete their projects at home and ship them to New Orleans for inclusion in the 100 Paper Dresses, Suits & Wearable Art Pieces event.

The workshop fosters creativity and collaboration, with selected headpieces showcased at the 100 Paper Dresses & Suits Showcase and Gallery Exhibition, enhancing the overall experience for residents.
