About the event
Join us at the 100 Paper Dresses & Suits Fundraiser for the Rwecycle Challenge and its non-profit Literacy Project International. An event that features our Artist-In-Residence 10-Day program immerses visiting artists in the vibrant parade traditions of New Orleans. By connecting them with live opportunities to engage in parades and processions, the program fosters a hands-on experience of the city's celebratory culture. This year's main focus is on constructing intricate 3-D Mini Floats, inspired by collage techniques. These floats will take center stage in the Earth Day Celebration parade held in April 2025. Notably, a dedicated section of the parade will highlight "joy," paying tribute to children from diverse communities across New Orleans. This initiative celebrates creativity, community, and the spirit of festivity that defines the city's parading traditions.
