Saving the Planet: Art & Environmentalism, at Kolaj Fest New Orleans.

Rogers-Henry will compare a fashion show of recycled costumes and speak about how the project uses social practice and crafting as a way of building community around environmental issues in New Orleans.

  • Event: 4-Day Artist in Residency at The Recycle Challenge Headquarters in the Lower 9th Ward   
  • In association with the Kolaj Fest
  • Features: 4-day workshop creating costumes for a 15-minute fashion presentation

Workshop Highlights:

  • Theme: Utilizing Recyclable Materials Into Costumes
  • Focus: Expanding on your current crafting skills and bringing elaborate concepts to life.
  • Materials: Working with magazine and newspaper fabrications for costume design.
  • Price: The workshop is $250.00.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              50% off to all returning crafters! Funding assistance is available.
